Creating a blog post
1. Login to your website Admin area, then click Blog on the left-hand menu.
2. Click Create Post.
3. On the Create Blog Post screen, you can fill in and adjust the following:
Blog Content | The main text and images that make up your blog post. |
Title | The headline of your blog post that readers will see first. |
Excerpt | A short summary that helps readers understand what the post is about. |
Slug | The web address ending used to create the page URL for your blog post. |
Status | Controls whether the post is a draft, scheduled, or published. |
Publish Date | The date and time the blog post will be published. |
Featured Image | The main image displayed alongside the blog post in listings, search results, and on the post itself. |
Categories | Categories allow you to tag each blog post with a specific theme or topic, making it easier to group similar content and keep your blog organized.
Each category can have its own custom slug and assigned colour, helping you structure your content clearly and maintain visual consistency across your site. |
Tags | Keywords that help describe the content and make posts easier to find.
Tags allow you to label blog posts with specific keywords or topics, helping to connect related content across different categories.
Unlike categories, tags are more flexible and granular, making it easier for readers to discover posts based on particular themes, subjects, or recurring ideas. |
SEO Title | A title designed for search engines that may appear in search results. |
SEO Description | A short description that may appear beneath the title in search engine results. |
4. Once you have entered in your information, scroll to the bottom and click Save or Save and Close.
