Art Galleria Websites: Creating your own page layouts

How to create your own page designs using Art Galleria's website builder

Updated this week

You can create a huge range of page layouts by adding different Grid Containers to a page, and then editing their size, padding, background color, and content alignment. Then, you can add different types of content to each area of the grid.

Step 1 - Setting up Grid Containers

Like in any website, page content sits within a container, called a grid container. These create the structure of a page. They can be used to organize the page into columns and rows, and they can be layered inside one another.

The widest version of the container is the Grid100, which takes up 100% of the width of the page. You can then add other grid containers to this, such as Grid50x50 (two columns), etc.

(A) Add a Grid Container to the page

  • Open the Grid Containers area

  • Click and drag one of the preset grid layouts onto your page:

(B) Format the Grid Container

Grid Containers can have different parameters applied to them. For example, you can:

  • Set the width of a container

  • Choose the horizontal and vertical alignment of the content

  • Set a background colour.

The templates already have many of these parameters applied.

Step 2 - Adding Content

You can add different types of content to the Grid Container areas using Elements and Dynamic Sections:

  • Elements are pieces that you need to edit or select, such as text, images, videos, buttons, etc.

  • Dynamic Sections display content synced from your Art Galleria account, such as exhibitions, collections of artworks, or lists of artists.

To add elements and dynamic sections to your site, simply drag the bubble for the thing you would like to add into the grid area where you want it to display.

Depending on what you have added, you will now need to either enter text, select or upload an image, identify the Collection to display, etc.

The fields to format the elements and dynamic sections will appear on the right side of the window.

When you finish editing, click Publish to save your changes.

For assistance on how to format a single image or gallery of images, see Formatting Images and Galleries.

(3) Publishing a page

Once you have edited a page, click Publish to save your changes.
