AG Websites: Forms

Learn how to create custom forms to implement on your AG website.

Updated today

Forms are a simple way to capture key info from leads and clients, whether it’s enquiries, signups, or specific requests. They help you get the details you need upfront without the back-and-forth.

They’re also flexible, letting you tailor them for things like events, submissions, or interest lists, while keeping everything organised and professional.

This article covers the following:

Existing forms

The following forms are pre-built, and readily available to be inserted into any page you want:

  • Contact Form

  • Newsletter Subscribe

You can access these forms from the Forms tab, when designing any page:

Contact Form

This is your standard contact form, designed for site visitors to get in touch. Submissions are sent directly to your email and also recorded in your Sales > Enquiries tab in Art Galleria, so everything is captured in one place.

Newsletter Subscribe Form

This is your newsletter signup form, allowing visitors to subscribe to your mailing list. Submissions are sent to your connected email marketing system and stored in Art Galleria, making it easy to manage and engage your audience.

Additional settings

Both forms can be further configured from the settings bar on the right-hand side:

Creating a custom form

1. Navigate to your main website builder settings, then select Forms from the left-hand menu.

2. Click + Add Form, enter a name, and click save.

3. Click the 3 dots to begin editing your form.

Grid Containers

  • Use Grid Containers to structure your form fields in a clean and organised layout, ensuring consistent spacing and alignment throughout.

  • By placing fields within a grid container, you gain greater control over how they are arranged and displayed, making it easier to create balanced, professional-looking forms.

  • Grid containers also provide additional flexibility, allowing you to adjust layouts and maintain visual consistency as your form grows in complexity.

Content Elements

  • Text - Insert a text box to provide context or guidance, helping users better understand and complete the form.

  • Horizontal line - Use these to divide your form into clear sections, making it easier to navigate and understand.

Form Fields

  • Fields can be made mandatory.

  • Fields can be restricted to numeric characters only.

  • Field label / button color can be adjusted, rounding can be added.

  • Field labels can be customised, and placeholders can be configured, enabled, or disabled to suit your needs.

Conditionals

Conditional settings allow you to control the visibility of fields within a form based on user input. By applying conditional logic, you can define rules that determine whether a field should be shown or hidden depending on the value of another field.

This makes forms more dynamic and responsive, as only relevant fields are displayed to the user at the right time. As a result, forms can be kept cleaner and easier to navigate, while still capturing more detailed information when needed.
