Setting up Stripe Terminals

Connect your Stripe terminal to Art Galleria for integration in-person payments.

Updated this week

With Stripe Terminals, you can take in-person payments for artworks effortlessly using a tap-to-pay device. Every transaction is automatically synced and recorded in your Art Galleria account.

Step 1: Connect or create a stripe account

You must connect a Stripe account to your Art Galleria account before reader payments can be made.

You can do this in Art Galleria > Settings > Payment Services > Add Stripe Payments. For detailed instructions see Setting up online payments with Stripe.

Supported terminal models

  • Stripe S700

  • Stripe S710

  • BBPOS WisePOS E

Step 2: Register a reader on Stripe

A device must first be registered on the Stripe website before it is able to be discovered by AG.

2. Click on Payments from the top, then Readers on the left.

3. Click on the +New button to create a new location (locations are used to organize readers), follow the instructions to finish creating a new location.

4. After creating a new location, from the Terminal screen, click the Readers tab to register a terminal.

5. Click โ€œRegister Readerโ€ and enter the serial number, or generate a pairing code. See this link for more information:

6. Enter a reader name: e.g. โ€œFront-desk-1โ€ and select the location you created earlier.

7. The Stripe Terminal should shortly appear in list of connected readers.

8: Done. You can now head to our companion article, Processing payments with Stripe Terminals, to learn how to start capturing payments.
