Setting up Locations

Add the Locations you deal with to galleries, studios, and storage places.

Updated over a week ago

The Locations feature allows you to enter locations of galleries, studios, storage spaces, or other important places, and then track the location of your artwork.

Each location has a code to help you find Inventory items at this location. You can set the code yourself, or let the system generate it for you. By default the code is three characters; you can modify this in your account's Default Settings.

Watch our video demonstration of setting up locations, or scroll down for step-by-step instructions for how to:

Add a Location

1. Open Inventory and click Locations then click Add Location.

2. Fill out the address of the location, and add any additional contact information (as required).

3. Click Update Location when done.

Assign or edit an artwork's location

1. Open Inventory and locate the artwork you want to assign to a location.

2. Click the more options (...) icon next the artwork, and select Edit.

Setting up Sublocations Multi-Level Hierarchy

Now you can set up a hierarchy of sub locations to fit the unique structure of your collection. The “Sublocations Multi-Level Hierarchy” feature is designed to bring precision to your inventory management. For more on this, please see Setting up Sublocations.
