Adding multiple prices to artworks

How to add multiple prices to artworks.

Updated over a week ago

Setting up different prices for the same artwork, or editions of an artwork, can be done a couple of ways:

  • Create a custom field - You can create a custom inventory field to record a different price for the same artwork record.

  • Duplicate an artwork - This method allows you to create two different versions of the artwork in your inventory, so accommodates the situation where you have versions of the same artwork available in a different size or medium.

Create a custom field

If you do need additional prices for the same physical artwork, you can create as many custom fields as required under Inventory > Settings. There, you can use the "price" field type to create space for additional prices. This field will be available for all artworks in your inventory, but you can choose to only use it on some artworks.

1. Open Inventory, then Settings and click Add New Field.

2. Enter a name for your custom field, select Price as the field type and then click Create Field.

3. Drag the newly created price field into the Pricing & Costs tab area of the Artwork Fields (active) column. You can then re-order fields within a tab by dragging them up or down in the list.

4. To enter a second price for an artwork, open the Artworks tab in Inventory, open the more options (...) menu on an artwork, and select Edit.

5. Open the Pricing & Costs tab, and then enter a second price in your new field.

6. Click Update Artwork when finished.

For instructions on how to see the new price column in your Inventory view, see Setting up Custom Inventory Views.

Duplicate an artwork

This method allows you to create two different versions in your inventory, so accommodates the situation where you have the same artwork available in different mediums.

To duplicate an Artwork in your Inventory:

1. Open the more options (...) menu on an artwork, then select Duplicate.

2. Change the medium of the Artwork to a different type (optional).

3. Select the Pricing & Costs tab and enter the new price in. Once done, click Update Artwork.

4. There are now two artworks available with different prices.
