Adding currencies

How to add and delete artwork currencies, or change your default currency, in Art Galleria.

Updated over a week ago

In Art Galleria you can choose your artwork prices to be set in different currencies. To do this you must first add the currency in Settings, then create a field to display it, and finally enter it for each artwork.

This guide will show you how to:

Add and delete currencies

Add a new currency

1. Open Settings and click Currencies, then click Add Currency.

2. Select a currency from the drop-down menu and click Add Currency.

3. Congratulations, your new currency has been added to the list of currency options that will appear when you edit artworks.

Re-order your currency list

In Settings > Currencies, hold the arrow icon next to a currency to move it up or down in the list.

Change your default currency

1. Open Settings > Currencies.

2. If the currency is not already in the list of currencies, add it following the steps described above.

3. Next to the currency you want to set as default, click [make default]

For information on changing your default currency, see Managing your account default settings.

Remove a currency

Open Settings > Currencies, then click the trash can icon next to the currency to remove it.

Create a custom artwork field for a currency

If you do need to display multiple currencies for the same artwork, you can create as many custom fields as required under Inventory > Settings. There, you can use the "price" field type to record artwork prices in additional currencies. This field will be available for all artworks in your inventory, but you can choose to only use it on some artworks.

1. Open Inventory, then Settings and click Add New Field.

2. Enter the currency as the part of the name for your custom field, select Numeric - with decimals as the field type and then click Create Field.

3. Drag the newly created price field into the Pricing & Costs tab area of the Artwork Fields (active) column. You can then re-order fields within a tab by dragging them up or down in the list.

Enter a second currency for an artwork

1. To enter a second currency for an artwork, open the Artworks tab in Inventory, open the more options (...) menu on an artwork, and select Edit.

5. Open the Pricing & Costs tab, and then enter a second price in your new field.

The Convert to other currencies link will calculate the price for the artwork in all the currencies you have added in Settings > Currencies.

6. Click Update Artwork when finished.

For instructions on how to see the new price column in your Inventory view, see Setting up Custom Inventory Views.
