How to create Certificates of Authenticity for your artworks.

Sometimes it is necessary to be able to prove to your clients that you artworks are authentic with a digital signature. You can create a Certificate of Authenticity, a one-page PDF which you can print or email.

If you're not interested in changing the format or adding a signature, skip ahead to the section on creating a Certificate of Authenticity.


Customise the Certificate of Authenticity design

You can modify the information displayed, layout, default certificate text, and branding for your certificate of authenticity by going to Settings and selecting Certificates (COA).

Modify any of the settings or fields, including the certificate text, and then click Save Certificate Settings. These will become the default settings for all Certificates of Authenticity.

Add a footer to the bottom of a Certificate of Authenticity


1. Open the Sales tab and click Settings and then click on a Branding theme.

2. Click on the Reports tab and enter in your footer details and click Save Settings.

Add a display label to fields

You can add display labels to Art Galleria system fields that are on the Certificates of Authenticity.

1)To do this please go to Settings > Certificates (COA). After adding a field, click the cog wheel to add a label name.

2) Please enter in the label name and click Save.

The new label will then appear next to the field, shown in the screenshot below:

3) When you print the COA, you will then see the label appear.

Add a digital signature for an Artist

The signature will appear on the Certificates of Authenticity that you create for any of the artist's artworks.

1. In Inventory open Artist Profiles.

2. Open the more options (...) menu next to an artist and select Edit.

3. Click on the Images tab and then click Choose file next to Add/Replace a Signature.

3. Once done click Update Artist Profile.

4. The signature will now appear of the Certificate of Authenticity for this artist's artworks.

Create a Certificate of Authenticity for an artwork

1. Open Inventory

2. Open the more options (...) menu for an artwork, and select Print Certificate.

3. Modify the text for your certificate, if required, and click Create PDF when done.

4. The certificate will be saved to your downloads folder where you can then preview and print it.
