Printing labels for contacts
Printing labels of contacts streamlines communication and organization. It facilitates sending invitations, promotional materials, and follow-ups, managing VIP access, and supporting networking and shipping. This saves time and ensures consistency in reaching your audience.
A single contact
Navigate to Contacts.
From your contact list, locate the contact you wish to print a label for, and click the blue speech bubble icon:
3. Click Print Label.
The default information fields to appear on the label are:
Contact Name
Address
Multiple Contacts
For multiple contacts, unlike artwork labels, you can only print one per page. However, you can export a group of contacts to CSV format and import that CSV into your preferred label application.
1. Navigate to Contacts > Groups.
2. Click Create a New Group, and select the contacts you wish to print multiple labels for.
3. Once created, click the more options menu (...) on your Contact Group, and select Export to CSV.
You can now use this CSV to bulk print contact labels, with your label designer of choice.
Troubleshooting
QR Codes
The QR code on my printed label doesn't link to what I want it to.
For Internal Use: If you need to scan QR codes to access Inventory IDs, please use the scan tool available in the Art Galleria app.
For Customer Use: If the QR codes are intended for customers, they can use their camera app or any third-party QR code scanner to access the information.
The QR codes on my labels aren't being read by my scanner.
Ensure the QR code is large enough for scanners to read; it should be at least 1x1 cm.
Verify that your printer is set to high-quality print settings to ensure clarity.
Test the QR code with multiple scanners or apps to determine if the issue is with the printer or the scanner.
When printing small labels with QR codes, make sure your printer is high-quality enough to capture the fine details needed for scanner readability.
Content doesn't fit on labels
The last row of labels is missing from my sheet when I look in the print preview.
Ensure the paper size and type match the label sheet. If the problem persists, adjust the label sheet layout settings incrementally until the correct number of rows fits on the page.
The labels are printing too far down the page.
Reduce the top sheet margin in the Label Sheet Layout settings, and make sure the paper size in the printer settings matches the actual paper size.
Field text is not displaying on the label.
If the field text is not displaying despite being added to the label, ensure the Character Limit field is set to 140.
My field text is being cut off
Try reducing the Grid Line Height in the grid, during the design phase.
Sometimes, there is just too much information for the size of the label being printed. If you want to include a lot of information, consider moving to a larger label size, or including less text.
